Another successful GFT Dinner Auction!

On the 31st August 2019, GFT held their biennial Dinner Auction and it was an outstanding success.
The Dinner Auction is run every two years to raise funds for three charities; Galloway Fisheries Trust, Marie Curie and Combat Stress.
Thank you to all 200 people who attended, those who donated lots and those who worked to make the night a great success. The lots donated were varied and included arts and crafts, fishing, shooting, days out and food & drink vouchers to name a few. Even some ducks found a new home! Keep an eye out in local magazines and papers for pictures of the event and we will soon give an update on the total amount raised on the night.

Completion of the Saving the Sparling Project - phase 1
The two-year project aimed at increasing awareness about sparling has come to an end. The project was designed to be delivered by two interns, the second of which Courtney Rowland reflects on her time on the project.
